Education

At Red Room Preschool, we believe every child is unique and deserves the very best start in life. Our caring, dedicated, and experienced team is passionate about creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where children feel happy, valued, and confident to learn through play.We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, recognising that children learn best when they are engaged, curious, and supported by caring adults who understand their individual needs. We take time to get to know each child, building strong relationships with both children and their families to ensure every child feels secure and supported throughout their learning journey.

Our curriculum is led by children's interests and enhanced through the Curiosity Approach, encouraging children to explore, investigate, question, and discover the world around them.
We carefully plan exciting experiences that inspire awe and wonder while supporting children's development across all areas of learning.
We are committed to helping children become confident, independent, and resilient learners.
Through play, group activities, and everyday experiences, children develop important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, communicating, solving problems, and building positive friendships. We encourage children to make choices, take appropriate risks, and celebrate their achievements, helping them to become capable and confident individuals.
At Red Room Preschool, we value diversity and inclusion. Throughout the year, we celebrate a variety of festivals, cultural traditions, and special events, giving children opportunities to learn about different families, communities, and the wider world. These experiences help children develop respect, kindness, and an understanding that everyone is unique and valued.
Our experienced practitioners carefully observe children's learning, assess their progress, and plan meaningful next steps that help every child reach their full potential. We work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising that they are a child's first and most important educators. By working together, we create the best possible opportunities for every child to flourish.
Above all, we want every child to leave Red Room Preschool as a happy, confident, independent learner who is ready for the next stage of their education and excited about the future.

Discover the magic of forest school

At our Forest School, children are encouraged to explore, discover, and grow through meaningful experiences in the natural world.

Our Friday morning Forest School sessions, led by a highly qualified Forest School leader, provide a nurturing outdoor environment where children can build confidence, independence, and a lifelong connection with nature.

Forest School offers young children the opportunity to learn through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. From investigating wildlife and creating natural art to building dens, discovering seasonal changes, and developing practical outdoor skills, every session inspires curiosity, imagination, and a sense of adventure.

Spending time outdoors supports children's wellbeing, resilience, and self-confidence. Through child-led exploration and carefully supported activities, children are encouraged to take safe risks, solve problems, work together, and develop a deeper understanding and respect for the natural world.

We believe nature provides the perfect setting for young children to grow. Our Friday morning sessions allow children the freedom to explore at their own pace, make discoveries, and create wonderful memories outdoors.
