Spring Term 2025
January

In January we will explore colours through the stories of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant stories.
Drawing elephants and patchwork grids.
Continue to be a good friend and celebrate our similarities and differences.
Counting objects from 1 to 5, sorting by size and colour.
Build good fine motor skills- using pens to draw elephants using circles and spirals. Filling different
containers using spoons and large tweezers.
Listening to Elmer stories and learning elephant rhymes, 'An elephant goes like this and that and
5 Elephants went out to play rhyme.
At the end of January
We will make some bird seed cake to support the RSPB bird watch between 24th and 26th January.
The Chinese New Year begins on 29th January and this year is the year of the Snake.
